Inner growth: Know yourself

How much time I give to that relationship is an indication of how much I value it. So how much time am I willing to give myself, in order to know myself better?

I must ensure that I understand both sides of myself, my weaknesses as well as my strengths.

Sometimes, my ego prevents me from acknowledging my weaknesses, and when things appear to be going wrong, it is difficult for me to see my strengths. I must know both.

When I see myself as not just a body but as an eternal spirit, I am liberated from fear, because the greatest fear we have is the fear of death.
When I accept that this body is temporary, whereas I, the soul, am eternal, there is no fear of death.

There are many who go through life without spending time examining their inner self, thus leading to failed relationships and heartache.

To know myself, I need to practise introspection.

Even with the busiest schedule, it is possible to give myself a little time, before others wake up, or before the onset of daily responsibilities.

In this way, the positive side of my nature will be strengthened.

This attention is not selfish. It is essential for my well-being — if I relate well to myself, there will be a lot I can do for others.

Thought for reflection:

It is impossible to relate to others without understanding my inner self first.
